The best things about Wood Street, E17

We're proud to call Wood Street home, and if you're visiting the area, here is what we think is worth knowing about our corner of E17.

Wood Street itself

Wood Street Overground station sits right at the heart of it, a couple of minutes from our door, with a row of independent shops and a local market stretching out along the street. It has a proper neighbourhood feel, busy without being overwhelming.

Walthamstow beyond Wood Street

A short walk brings you into Walthamstow Village, with its weavers cottages and independent cafes, and Walthamstow is well known as the birthplace of William Morris, with the William Morris Gallery a short trip away in Lloyd Park. Further out, Epping Forest opens up towards Upper Walthamstow and Snaresbrook, a proper stretch of green for a walk before or after dinner.

A practical tip

If you are driving over, we have free customer parking at the rear of the restaurant from 5pm daily, under a minute from the door. Before that, there is street parking along Wood Street and the surrounding roads.

Whenever you are in the area, come and see us at 117 Wood Street for halal food off the charcoal grill, dine in or order ahead for collection.
